Yashasvi Jaiswal came remarkably close to breaking the record for the fastest fifty in Test cricket by an Indian batter. If he had scored his fifty in just 27 balls, he would have surpassed Rishabh Pant’s record, which currently stands at 28 balls. He is now aiming for another record of fastest hundred by Indian batter in red-ball cricket.
