Apakah pelatih lapangan India menutupi kesalahannya dengan semangat setelah pembukaan Piala Dunia T20 Wanita ICC?

Layaknya tim putra, tim putri India menggelar upacara perebutan medali pertandingan bertahan di ruang ganti usai laga pertama ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.

India women’s cricket team started off their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup campaign on a losing note after being handed a 58-run defeat by New Zealand. Harmanpreet Kaur and co did not look at their absolute best as they were humbled by the Kiwis in their tournament opener. Following the game, the women’s cricket team dressing room saw a ceremony where the fielder for the game medal was awarded, similar to the practice that T Dilip put in place for the men’s team.

Cover up more than motivation?

In a video uploaded by BCCI on social media platform X, fielding coach Munish Bali is seen trying to encourage the dressing room right after the defeat. He seemingly overlooked the fieding errors committed by the team in the middle and instead went to applaud the team’s efforts on the field, albeit in a losing cause. Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Shreyanka Patil recieved a shoutout from Bali while Jemimah Rodrigues bagged the fielder of the game medal.

“Just like how we bounced back with out fielding today, we will bounce back in the next game with a win,” Munish Bali told the dressing room.
