Director General of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) Oke Nurwan revealed the role of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan in the cooking oil distribution scheme.

In this case, Oke said Luhut helped by providing direction for the development of a government application system for the distribution of cooking oil. One of the suggestions he gave was for people to use their Population Identification Number to buy bulk cooking oil instead of carrying their Identity Card (KTP).

Oke said this after attending a Coordination Meeting on Cooking Oil between the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag), Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves). At the coordination meeting, Luhut was not present. He was represented by the Deputy for Investment and Mining at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Septian Hario Seto.
